Andy, an area resident since 1969, is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Grand Rapids Community College and Western Michigan University, where he majored in mechanical engineering. After completing his military obligation by serving in the Air Force at Sheppard AFB as a helicopter maintenance specialist, he remained in Wichita Falls to work in various areas of industry. In 1979, he established and operated Universal Design & Manufacturing Company, whose speciality was the manufacturing and refurbishment of hydraulic cylinders for the agricultural, industrial, and oil field communities. He also designed and developed a line of hydraulic leveling jacks for applications on heavy equipment that was marketed on a nationwide basis. In the fall of 1996 he sold his company to pursue a career in real estate. Andy is married to Donna and has two stepdaughters, Paula and Rachel, along with four grandchildren. His hobbies include boating, fishing and Performance/Sport Automobiles. Having been a British Sports Car enthusiast for many years, Andy's attention is now turned towards Corvettes, and he is an active member of the local Corvette club. He also has "hands on" experience in home remodeling and renovation and has undertaken many extensive projects in the last four homes he has owned. In his real estate profession, Andy is motivated and dedicated to his customers and clients. He also has the business knowledge and expertise acquired from owning and operating a company for 18 years. Andy has attended various real estate classes and seminars to keep him current on the latest changes and requirements necessary to be a true professional. He has also earned his Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Accredited Buyers Representative designation (ABR) to further provide quality service to his buyers and sellers.
